Carla M Wilson was raised in southern California, connected to the sun and the sea. Her father taught English literature, and her mother, who studied psychology and child development, emigrated to the US from Germany in 1966.
Carla’s love of travel, languages, cultures, film and literature led to a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, advanced coursework in Art History, and an MFA in Fiction writing.
Her first book, Impossible Conversations, a series of fictitious dialogues with infamous art makers of the 20th century, was published by Black Scat Books in 2015 and later reviewed in American Book Review by Eckhard Gerdes.
Her second volume, Curious Impossibilities: Ten Cinematic Riffs, published in 2017, features Wilson’s interpretive homage to some of her favorite iconic films and filmmakers, and includes an introduction by James R. Hugunin.
Other creative work has appeared under various pseudonyms which shall remain unnamed. Carla currently lives with her husband in arty South Park, San Diego, and is always working on her next project.
